08.1997 - Current

• August 1997 - I started as shipping clerk 2nd shift. Loaded trucks for delivery ensuring quality, accuracy and undamaged product for our dealers.

• 1999 - I worked at Quality Control. Focusing on ensuring our dealers received merchandise that was accurate and undamaged. I worked closely with all employees, given them accuracy reports and training.

• 1999 - I received training for safe lifting and became the primary trainer for the second shift.

• October 2002 I became a second shift supervisor. Primary duties included monitoring of order fill departments ensuring timely delivery to our dealers. I also became a member of our safety committee, promoting a safe working culture for our employees.

• 2005 - August 2024 - I became the primary route planner for the warehouse. I released all orders and planned all the routes for first and second shifts. I worked closely with transportation and planned special routes when needed.

• December 2014 - I was promoted to Warehouse Manager second shift. Duties included; managing all inbound and outbound functions, promoting safety and investigating safety incidents, working with Human Resources with hiring, employee management and disciplinary needs. I worked very closely with other management team members including corporate.

• Throughout my career at United Hardware and this year Do It Best, I always focused on taking pride in my work and portraying that to all my team members. I learned considerable skills, with experience in Microsoft Word and Excel, writing SOP's and job duties, writing performance reviews for my supervisors, team leads and maintenance shop members and other duties as required for amanager.

Farm/ Rancher

I have a cow/calf farming operation that I've maintained for close to 40 years. I perform the maintenance on all my buildings and equipment. I have experience in electrical, welding, plumbing, construction and equipment mechanics. I have rebuilt engines and transmissions. I also have a lifetime of equipment operation experience, from all types of farm equipment, heavy equipment-track loader, warehouse lift-trucks, reach trucks, tuggers and scissor lifts.

Additional Information

I am a strong believer in taking pride in my work, working safely and being dependable. In the 27 plus years at United Hardware, now Do It Best, I may have less than 5 days of unscheduled time missed from work.
