Working as an Assistant Manager Instrumentation and Control at Thar Energy Limited (TEL), a 330MW coal fired power plant a subsidiary of Hub power Company Limited in Thar Coal Block-II.

• Procurement: Material ordering, tracking with commercial team and technically evaluation of material quotation received from different vendors.
• Outage Management: management of man power, tools, spares, consumables, & third party services required for outage of 1x330MW power plant.
• Outage Planning: planning of I&C outage activities including preventive maintenance and opportunity based corrective maintenance activities.
• Third Party Contracts & Services Management: management of regular and call off based third party contracts and services including technical & manpower services.
• Maximo Management: management of daily jobs in Maximo to ensure timely jobs execution and status update in Maximo, to plan jobs against reported defects, and to monitor priority defects reporting.
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA): detail RCA of process and non-process related safety incidents, unsafe conditions, equipment failure, business loss or any other incident reported.
• Management of Change (MOC): implementation of approved temporary and permanent modifications.
• Manpower Management: management of I&C permanent and contractual technical staff.
• Budget Management: preparation and effective utilization of I&C annual budget.
• Health Safety & Environment: ensure maintenance of SCEs, conduct safety audits, toolbox talks, D-level meetings, and other safety actions to ensure employees and equipment safety.
• Troubleshooting & maintenance of: Nexus OnCore 6000e DCS, MarkVIe turbine control system, Siemens PLCs for balance of plant systems, VM600 TSI I/O racks, Maggitt TSI instrumentation, field instrumentation, control valves, analyzers, and Minimax FMZ 5000 fire system.

Worked as Instrument and control engineer with construction and commissioning team of Thar Energy Limited (TEL) and ThalNova (TN), two coal fired power plants each of 330MW in Thar coal Block II.

• Installation and commissioning of Nexus OnCore 6000e DCS, MarkVIe turbine control system, Siemens S7-200, S7-300, S7-400, S7-1200, and S7-1500 PLCs for balance of plant systems, FMZ 5000 fire system, Huawei's SDH & SELTA teleprotection system, HikVision plant CCTVs and Himark PABX system, field instruments, analyzers, and control valves.
• Leading the installation, testing and commissioning of plant instrumentation and control system from owner side.
• Worked collaboratively with EPC design engineers, local contractors, suppliers and other internal personnel for timely meeting project goals and milestones.
• Coordinated with EPC to finalize inspection testing protocols (ITPs).
• Worked as an I&C lead engineer to complete the CPPA 8.2 and 8.3 testing.
• Worked in liaison with all the stakeholders (i.e., CPPA, NTDC, EPC, OEMs, IEs) for the successful Commercial Operation of 2 x 330 MW TEL & TN Power Plants.
• Worked as a I&C lead engineer in coordination with GE, Baker Hughes, and Siemens technical advisors for the commissioning of DCS, MarkVIe turbine control system and power plant PLCs.
• Prepared 2 years spares list, tools and equipment list, maintenance regimes, annual maintenance plan and maintenance procedures for post COD phase.
• Participated in HAZID study team to identify the list of safety critical equipment. Also participated in plant base line PHA
• Worked as a team lead to generate overall plant assets list with KKS, asset description, parent assets, and safety critical assets identification and uploaded that data in Maximo post COD

Worked as a management trainee at Hub power plant, 1292MW RFO base power plant in Lasbela Balochistan

• Involved in planning of tasks, execution and ensuring safely and timely completion of jobs as per OEM maintenance procedures and best practices.
• Equipment failure troubleshooting and investigations with engineers to identify root cause and to rectify the defects found.
• Assisted Engineers to arrange spares, tools, and equipment to carryout maintenance activities.
• Participated in daily activities at site including preventive and corrective maintenance, defects, and projects.
• Involved in troubleshooting and maintenance of of DCS Bailey INFI 90 and ABB Symphony Plus modifications in PCU’s, GE System 1 Evo 81.2 Bently Nevada 3500 vibration monitoring and machine protection system, Sensa LTS 240 and Simplex 4100U fire protection system, test and calibration instruments, Meinberg plant clock sync system, SDH and power line carrier communication system, PABX system
• Participation in Process Hazard Analysis and Management Safety Audits.
