I started out coding OB/Gyn Ultrasounds and Molecular Imaging . I moved on to code Radiology and Breast Health. In Radiology I coded X-rays, MRIs,MRAs,PET scans, HIDA scans , anything radiology related. In Breast Health I coded screening exams, diagnostic exams, and breast procedures.

I also worked denial claims for these specialties. I would correct any incorrect coding errors, address patient concerns involving denials, and also requested to file clean claim with documentation back to the insurance carrier .

I trained many coders in these specialties . I would go over the workflow , correct and spot check claims , and answer any questions.
